Executive Summary

The Bar at 327 Braun Court has been hidden in Kerrytown for years as a local favorite and a ‘third space’ hideaway. With recent upgrades to their pizza kitchen and a desire to expand their food business, they are looking to create an online experience that showcases their unique spirit while allowing them to do what a bar needs to do: sell some food and drinks.

The goal of my project is to create a new online experience for the bar; one that enables easy, accessible, and lean e-commerce experience for the user. In this experience, I aim to give them a visually-pleasing and spirited experience that conveys just how special of a space this is for all.

Problem Statement

As stated in the executive summary, my goal was to design an e-commerce experience from the ground up.

Here’s what I was facing:

  • No existing materials to utilize

  • Need to create a working e-commerce experience, from home page to order confirmation

  • Upcoming events tab

  • Newsletter sign up

  • Integrated art from the bar’s menu artist

  • Increased assets for social media, the bar’s Spotify, and ways to increase customer / patron engagement.

My goal: integrate as many of these features into an experience that is lightweight, easy to use, and engages customers.
